Foundations for self-build and DIY garden rooms/buildings

You will need to consider the type of base that your self-build garden room kit will be constructed on.
Typically we would expect you to need one of three types of foundation; groundscrew, pad or existing/new concrete base.

Groundscrews are galvanised pins that screw into the ground, creating a strong level platform for your garden room, garden office or leisure building to be constructed off.

We can offer a supply and installation service for groundscrew foundations and we charge per ground screw. Please contact us for a quotation to suit your installation. Typically we charge £40 per groundscrew installed visit our SHOP for more information.

• Speed: Same day installation and ready to use
• Strength; solid strong base for your building
• Levelling; ideal to use on uneven ground
• Un-intrusive; less impact to tree roots and ground conditions
Cost; less spent on materials, time and labour

Pad foundation are used where rocky conditions are found. We remove the top soil, dig a hole out the the hard ground and back fill with a quick dry concrete to form a pad foundation.

We then use our adjustable feet to level off the base of our room.

When a room is installed onto existing hard standing, our adjustable pad levels the base of our room.
